My name is Rosie Gabrielle, I am a freelance artist and photographer specializing in childrens portraits. From maternity, newborn to children of all ages and families. I've also worked as a Nanny for 4 years. For the past two years I have accomplished combining both my passion of working with kids and my love for art.

My interest in photography came to me when I did my first missions trip to Guatemala. I was an avid painter looking for images to paint So that I may increase the knowledge of poverty stricken countries. Thats when I thought to capture the beautiful culture on camera so i could later paint it at home. I realized at that moment that not only did I enjoy taking photographs of these beautiful children but the images were actually very well composed. Being a Nanny I had lots of opportunity to take photos of children. After practice and studying I was able to create a small business for myself. I aim to capture the true essence of a child so their personality shines through and creates an impact that will last a lifetime.

My passion for children goes back to when I was a child. I always wanted to help those in need and the less fortunate. I was blessed in my life to have the opportunity to travel and to see the many wonders of our world. After my first trip to Guatemala I went back a year later to visit my sponsor child. While I was there we worked with the children at the local school and I did a mural for them there. The year after that I accompanied a group to Romania where we helped re-build part of a church, fund a project for a local orphanage and I also painted two murals on their walls. This Past year I wanted to do something completely on my own but still wanted to continue volunteering and getting a real cultural experience out of traveling. So I decided to go to SE Asia, it was a great place to start off by myself. But unlike the millions of travelers that go there every year, I decided to do something a little different, I didn't feel like I was getting the full experience, so I bought a motor bike and traveled 12,000 kms across Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. During my 5 month trip I volunteered in Thailand at two orphanages and one orphanage in Vietnam, and did 3 murals in Cambodia. My trip was a life altering experience. I stayed with many local families in villages, and got to reach out to many people in need. with the images I got from that trip I hope to touch the lives of people in North American the same way the people of Asia affected me. They are truly happy, People who have absolutely nothing, blissfully happy, because they have each other. We can all learn something from these people. We all have bad days and go through rough times, but it is our experiences that make us who we are, we must rejoice in them.

All this has brought me to where I am today. To spend time with people who love each other and to create wonderful images that you will cherish forever.
